A week ago, I looked at my two piddly entire a thought I needed to fill this out. There’s plenty of stuff that I could pull from the archives to insert in the vacuum of this blog. It comes from 30 years of taking photos, drawing, painting, ceramics, writing. Then I realized how unimpressed I was by all of it. Worse yet, my current creative endeavors don’t even live up to the past work.
So I thunk on it for a bit to see what I might do with this site. Then it hit me. I’ve lost so much confidence in skill that maybe that is what I should show. Instead of “look at what I’ve done,” this go around it will be “look at what I am doing.”
Why be trapped by history? It has plenty to teach, but it does not need repeating. So I will save you, gentle reader, my histrionics. Instead, I will share my current works in progress. You will get to see the creaking effort of someone that is trying grind off the rust and polish the turd.
What you will get for your time is rough sewing projects, frustrated attempts at drawing, poorly framed photos, and my word mush. Over time, I will improve. I hope you stick with me as I rediscover myself.
