We actually made it outside today. For the last several days, it has rained here. Nothing that an umbrella couldn’t handle, but after a days work rain just added to the couch’s gravitational pull. Humans were not meant to sit around. The first ten minutes of our walk was all huffing and puffing. Diane and I managed to make it back before the rain started to pour again.
I am trying to add a new habit to my afterwork routine: drawing. It’s a break from the computer screen and the practice I need. Fifteen to thirty minutes is quite the mental break from a long work day. Today, I sketched paused screens from Conan the Barbarian (1982) Arnold makes great faces. And there are great set pieces to doodle.
While I work on the workspace, this will keep some momentum toward my goals for the year. I also have polymer clay on the way. It should show later this week. I look forward to getting my fingers into that work, too.
